In Year 2 we are writing non-fiction texts and were very lucky to meet four different birds of prey. We were very brave and held them!
As part of our English lessons, in Year 1/2M & 1/2T, we read the book 'Don't Call Me Sweet' by Smiriti Prasadam-Halls. The photos below show us practising the text map and trying to be an angry monster. Drama has helped us understand the characters' feelings.
Year 1/2M & 1/2T have taken part in build the tallest tower challenge! We completed a challenge using 3-D shapes to show our understanding of length and height. Some of us persevered and attempted the tower a few times before they were satisfied. We thought about which shapes would add more height.
Year 1/2T took part in a RSPB workshop. We were very excited and we enjoyed exploring the school grounds.
As part of circle time, in year 1/2M, we role-played different scenarios about problem solving during break time. We thought about ways of looking after people to ensure that break times are happy times. Image 6564 - 'There is one bike but two children want to play on it.'
In art, Year 1/2T have been finding out about Aboriginal art. We have planned, designed and improved our piece of art work.
