PE and Sports Grant
The £8851 PE and Sport grant that Laygate Community School received in the financial year 2016 / 2017 has been allocated in various ways to ensure a lasting legacy of the money.
The impact of the PE and Sports grant funding is as follows:
- teachers are now more skilled in teaching quality PE
- more children have taken part in competitions across the borough of South Shields
- We continued to run our football team.
- Sports clubs being run after school
The PE and Sports Grant for 2017-2018 will enable the school to sustain the above throughout the academic year.
